Hr questions have the same importance as technical interviews, for me, it is tougher than technical rounds.

Getting a good JOB is not about you should have only good technical skills, at the same time they are looking for the best person who should fit the company culture.

At my experience level, I have some points for HR/Behavioural questions which I noticed so far —

  1. Honest Reply
  2. Answer Clearly, Don't be fake
  3. be polite
  4. positive Attitude
  5. Try not to give a lot more examples
  6. since it's an HR round, try to avoid too many technical words
  7. Always tell the truth.

We have a couple of questions to practice or look at on before our next interview. Please let me know in a comment if you faced some other questions apart from this.

  1. Tell me About yourself apart from your resume
  2. Why you are looking for a new challenge?
  3. What do you want from the new organization?
  4. Why did you decide to apply for this role?
  5. What do you know about our company’s product/services?
  6. Describe the workplace where you’ll be most happy and productive.
  7. Do you have any questions?
  8. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  9. Tell us the most challenging work in your career
  10. why (company name)?
  11. What is your biggest achievement so far?
  12. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Behavioural Questions-

  1. Explain a time when you took the initiative on a project.
  2. Describe a time when you disagreed with a team member. How did you resolve the problem?
  3. How do you handle unexpected changes or challenges?
  4. What is the most difficult/ challenging situation you’ve ever had to resolve in the workplace?
  5. Have you ever made a mistake?
  6. If your team member is not convinced with your solution, what will be your next approach?
  7. Tell me your Favourite project and why?
  8. Are you better at working with a team or working on your own?
  9. How do you approach problems? What’s your process?
  10. Explain a time when you took the initiative on a project.
  11. What do you think is an ideal work environment?
  12. How would you solve a problem if you are not familiar with the topic?
  13. How do you handle deadlines?
  14. How do you proceed to model a complex problem?
  15. What do you want to improve in 1-year in your personal life?
  16. How do you deal with conflicts at work, could you provide an example?
